Rebekah Grace de Guzman

From Los Angeles, California, Rebekah Grace de Guzman is a filmmaker and screenwriter currently attending Loyola Marymount University. Emmy Award-nominated at 16, Rebekah aspires to use her creativity to increase representation in media and drive social change.

Inspired by both her personal experiences as a Filipina American and the stories of those around her, Rebekah's films, documentaries, and screenplays explore the importance of community care. She is excited to work with The Glowmedia Project to tell the story of Voice and to educate young audiences about social anxiety, the power of art, and how to support your peers through mental health challenges.

Beau Thomas

Clarkson Institute - Nebraska Student Competition

"My name is Beau Thomas, and I’m a Junior at my high school in Auburn, Nebraska. Growing up, I’ve always been a creative person, whether it be drawing, crocheting, baking, and most recently: writing! Working with Glowmedia gave me an amazing platform to bring life to my ideas on camera, and has sparked my interest in cinematography as I consider my next steps in life!”

Julia Doogan

Born in Orland Park, Illinois, Julia Doogan is a screenwriter and filmmaker with a passion for storytelling. After moving to Los Angeles, she earned a BFA in Film Production from The Los Angeles Film School while also studying comedy and sketch writing at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.

 

Julia is committed to accurate representation of mental health in media, drawing from her experience with chronic OCD to challenge stereotypes. She has written and directed multiple award-winning films and continues to collaborate with artists in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City, bringing compelling stories to life.

Nina Lopez Riley

"My name is Nina Lopez Riley, and I am a senior screenwriting student at Chapman University. I'm originally from Chicago, where my love for movies, TV, and stories first sparked. When I got the chance to submit ideas to Glowmedia's Minds in Frame script competition, I knew I had to jump at the chance. Working with Glowmedia and making a difference through storytelling has been a dream come true!"
