King of the World is a short film about a teenager living with bipolar disorder. C.J., a senior in high school, has been managing well with daily medications and lifestyle modifications. After being cast in the leading role for a short school movie production, he begins to cycle into a manic phase. His friends become worried and try to help. C.J.’s story raises awareness about bipolar disorder and emphasizes the importance of peer and family support for those living with a mental illness.
